Fishguard is located at the end of the A40 trunk road and along with Goodwick is the largest settlement on the North Pembrokeshire coast. It has the benefit of the ferry terminal with regular sailing to Ireland along with an adjacent rail link. The town is the main focal point for both local shopping and also for the tourist trade, especially in the summer months.
