A rare opportunity to buy the title 'Lord of Llanegwad' which offers the chance to be called Lord (or Lady!). The Manor of Llanegwad is approx 7 miles from Carmarthen and approx 8 miles from the market town of Llandeilo. It includes the village and part of the parish of Llanegwad and lies on the old route between Carmarthen and Llandovery in the Hundred of Cathinog, one of the eight ancient Hundreds contained within the county. It abuts on the south upon the Manor of Treclase or Llanarthney now vested in the University. Records are far from complete but such information as was available seems to indicate that the territory comprised within the Manor extends over an area of approx 6,000 acres.
