1. The Get your first month’s rent half price promotion (“the Promotion”) is offered by Countrywide Residential Lettings Limited, registered number 02995024 , an agent and subsidiary of Countrywide Estate Agents, registered number 00789476, whose registered address is Greenwood House, First Floor, 91-99 New London Road, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 0PP (“the Promoter”).
2. The Promotion is available to eligible customers only. Eligible customers are those who are aged 18 years or older, excluding employees of the Promoter, their families, associates and any other persons who are in any way connected to the Promotion. Proof of age and identity may be required.
3. A selection of landlords (“Participating Landlords”) are offering prospective tenants who move into a relevant property (“Participating Property”) between 10th August 2019 (“Start Time”) and 31st August 2019 (“the Closing Date”) an exclusive 50% discount on their first month’s rent, subject to availability and contract (the “Discount”).
4. The Discount will apply to the first month’s rent in respect of tenancy agreements commencing on or before 31st August 2019 only (the “Relevant Agreement”). The Discount will be applied to the first month’s rent for the Participating Property that falls due after signature of the Relevant Agreement.
Participating Landlords
5. The Discount is available on selected Participating Properties only, subject to availability and the landlord’s discretion. Your local Countrywide Residential Lettings branch will provide you with a list of Participating Properties that the Discount is available on, available on a first come first served basis and subject to successful checks and references (as applicable).
Duration of offer
6. You must move into the Participating Property on or before 31st August 2019 in order to receive the Discount. The Discount may be withdrawn at any time for any reason.
7. From the second month of the tenancy onwards the rent payable will automatically revert to the full agreed amount as set out in the Tenancy Agreement.
Conditions
8. In addition to the above, the Discount is subject to the following conditions:
a. an offer to rent a Participating Property at the full advertised rental being accepted by a Participating Landlord;
b. a Relevant Agreement being agreed and signed by both the tenant and the Participating Landlord;
c. the tenant making payment to the Promoter in advance of the applicable first month’s rent, deposit and administration charges, to be received by the Promoter no later than the start date of the Tenancy Agreement; and
d. the tenant moving into the Participating Property,
all between the Start Time and Closing Date.
9. The terms of this Promotion shall vary the terms of our tenant charges where appropriate. In the event of any conflict between this Promotion and our tenant charges, the terms of this Promotion shall prevail.
10. The Discount is not applicable to any other fees that may become payable by the tenant, including but not limited to referencing fees, check-in fees, security deposits etc. The Discount will not be taken into account when calculating the value of any deposit to be paid by the tenant.
11. The Discount is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The cash value of the Discount is 0.00001p.
12. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Promotion without notice where it becomes necessary to do so.
13. These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and customers submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.
